Mrs. Barclay

Hello families! I am Mrs. Barclay, and this is my first year in the Jacksboro ISD, and my 24th year teaching. I have had the opportunity to teach special education, preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. I see kindergarten as a magical time when growth occurs in leaps and bounds, and children love to learn! I studied Psychology and Sociology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I also received my Masters of Education from Oklahoma City University. My family and I have just arrived here from Chicago, and are very happy to be settling in to our new hometown of Jacksboro!

In my free time, I enjoy camping, sudoku, hiking, and traveling with my family to any place that has water or mountains! I prefer magazines to books, non-fiction to fiction, and swimming to running. My favorite foods are pizza and peanut butter pie!

I am very much looking forward to spending the school year with our new kindergarteners, and working with our Jacksboro families to have a great year of learning!
