After college, I began my career in the business world. I was a Senior Paralegal for Personal Injury Lawfirms for 10 years. I decided to stay home with our 2 children when the stress and work load of that job meant sacrificing time with my family. Then my husband comes home one day with the idea of moving to the country. As I grew up in the heart of Dallas, you can only imagine how enthusiastic I was about this new adventure. In 2001 we moved to 160 acres outside of Jacksboro. I have now conquered all fears of scorpions, snakes, and spiders. I just kill them as soon as I see them.

Our children, Christina and Austin, graduated from Jacksboro High School. After college, they moved on to their current lives in other states. We have become a military family with Christina's husband being in the Air Force and Austin in the Army.

I joined Jacksboro Independent School District in 2006. I currently teach Art for 6th, 7th, & 8th grade. I truly enjoy my job and the students I get to know each year. They keep me laughing and reminding me to not take life so serious. I love to watch them grow through their middle school years. Every year is a new beginning.
